HC Government Realty Trust, Inc. Announces Lease Award to Build a New ICE Office in Gulfport, MS

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – HCGRT is pleased to announce that the Company has been awarded a new lease in Gulfport, MS for Department of Homeland Security – Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  With a 15-year term (and 5-year renewal option), this renovated-to-suit 9,000 square foot facility will be built-out to ICE’s specifications to support their day-to-day activities and will include state of the art finishes and security systems. Construction is estimated to begin in Q1 2024 with occupancy commencing late 2024.  

HCGRT Director of Design and Construction Chris Darling added the following statement to today’s announcement:

“We are pleased to be selected to develop another Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Field Office that will be located in Gulfport, Mississippi. This new, stand-alone location will allow ICE to bring multiple departments, currently spread out throughout Gulfport, together.  The facility will be state-of-the-art and allow the local team to better serve the City of Gulfport, and the surrounding Gulf Coast community.  Adding another mission-critical building to the HC Government Trust portfolio is very exciting, and we appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve and support federal agencies through developing high-quality facilities across the United States.”
